Globecon organizes
its content into six practice areas that are both wide and deep. For

Overview information about each practice area follows:
Capital Markets -- Globecon’s capital
markets program focuses on the structuring, pricing, trading and
distribution of debt and equity securities and their counterparts in the
derivatives markets. Programs range from entry level to highly technical,
and participants include product specialists, analysts, book managers,
traders, salespeople, IT developers and middle/back office.
Corporate Finance -- Globecon’s
corporate finance program helps financiers focus on the financial strategies
that best support the client’s business objectives and increase the market
value of the client company. By analyzing actual companies using Globecon’s
Financial Structure and Strategy Framework, participants build a range of
capital-raising, risk management and restructuring activities into a
powerful, customized relationship plan that drives a stream of profitable
transactions over time.
Credit & Banking –
Globecon’s credit & banking programs focus on traditional credit
analysis, specialized credit products, credit portfolio management and the
needs of bankers dealing with institutional clientele.
Infrastructure & Operations
- The Infrastructure & Operations practice area contains competencies
intended to help non-financial employees make sense of the banking industry,
their own institution and the needs of their line clients.
Risk Management -- Globecon’s
risk management program is designed to help analysts, traders and portfolio
managers manage risk while maximizing returns across the full range of
market conditions. Asset management programs focus on determining investor
objectives, setting goals, creating policies, choosing among assets,
tracking performance and analyzing returns.
Wealth Management --
Globecon’s wealth management program is designed to help analysts, traders
and portfolio managers manage risk while maximizing returns across the full
range of market conditions. Wealth management programs focus on determining
investor objectives, setting goals, creating policies, choosing among
assets, tracking performance and analyzing returns.
While these practice
areas enable us to cover the full range of needs for competency based
education, we also provide a full range of test preparation, certifications
and CPE programs, as well as soft-skills training, as follows:
Test Prep, Certification and
Continuing Education Credits -- Globecon has developed specific
certification and continuing education workshops, web-based seminars, and
models within Fintranet for an array of licenses, charters and
certifications that can be used to meet certification and CPE maintenance
requirements. Globecon works with each sanctioning body of professional
credentials to ensure that the model meets that organization's
requirements. Current offerings include continuing education for: Certified
Financial Planners (CFP); Certified Public Accountants (CPA); Chartered
Financial Analysts (CFA) and Financial Risk Managers (FRM).
SOLID Soft Skills --
Programs in this
area focus on the development of leadership, communication and consultative
sales skills, and the integration of these skills with a wide range of
relationship management competencies. This curriculum leverages Globecon’s
existing methodologies for relationship management development and hard
financial services knowledge across a wider spectrum. SOLID Soft Skills
emphasize both professional and individual development and is flexible
enough to be widely applied in areas ranging from consultative selling,
account management activities and leadership skills such as managing
conflict and shepherding organizational change. The four components of
SOLID skills are: self awareness, self-management, relationship awareness
and relationship management. More information about these programs will be
